Flood Relief Supply Bucket Filling

In response to the hurricane emergency currently going on south and west of us, our vestry has made a plan to deliver 100-150, 5-gallon buckets filled with the following supplies to Boone, NC on Monday morning:
 Liquid cleaners, e.g., bleach – ½ gallon containers
 2 pairs of heavy-duty kitchen gloves
 Contractor-size (30 gallons) trash bags
 Cleaning rags
 Scrub brushes
 Plastic spray bottles (1 qt)
 Paper towels
 Mops (not in the buckets)

In addition to getting the above supplies to Boone, NC as soon as possible, our emissaries will
be speaking to local officials and residents in order to learn more about what is needed and how our church can continue to help. With apologies for such short notice, we are requesting each household to contribute, as able, to this effort in the following ways:

Pray about participating in a future trip with others in our church family (in about a month)
which would include being on-site for a week to provide whatever help is called for, including
help that does not require a certain level of physical strength or particular skills. Whatever is
needed will certainly include prayer and comforting, caring for, and encouraging those who are
living through this.

1. Purchase the above supplies and bring them to church on Sunday;

2. Bring a dish for a pot-luck lunch to be enjoyed after all the buckets are filled;

3. Participate in an assembly-line to fill and label the buckets;

4. Help load the buckets on the trailer that will be taken to Boone, NC
