Women’s Discipleship Group

The Woman’s Discipleship Group fall study will be a topical study of the book of Isaiah. That is, it is not a line-by-line Bible Study but one that looks at several chapters during each session. We will begin Friday August 21 with two Fridays looking at the setting of the prophet Isaiah’s time. Time 9:30 am, in conference room near Pastor Phil’s office. The study using the book will begin either Sept. 4 or 11 depending on the number of people who can attend Labor Day Friday. The study will be 13 weeks. The book that will direct our study will be “Isaiah for You” by Tim Chester. You may want to purchase it. I will also use as a reference the Tyndale Old Testament Commentary – Isaiah by Paul Wegner. Unless you really want to dig deep into Isaiah you probably don’t need this book. It is a line-by-line reference. Also, I will use the Chronological NLT Bible. Many have requested that we do a true Bible Study so this will be that type of study. Please contact Jane Holmgren if you are new to the group and plan to attend.
