Augsburg Group

The Augsburg Group meets Tuesday 8-25, to wrestle through Lutheran teaching about predestination or election. Or better yet, about grace that is really grace – free, strong, and ours. You are warmly welcome to join us! 4-5:15p @ Crystal Springs Grocery Store.
The reading material that will guide our discussion is attached here, from the Book of Concord. It has two parts: the “epitome,” which sums up our position in just a few pages, and the “solid declaration,” which is a longish essay on the same themes.
Please be sure to read the epitome before we meet, along with Ephesians 1-2 and Romans 8-11. If you have extra time and are so inclined, give the solid declaration a go too.
All glory to God, “who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to the light through the Gospel”! (2 Tim 1:9-10)
